Where Folk, Country & Bluegrass Converge into Americana
Compelling Voices of Acoustic Americana
CPAS is excited to open its 25th Silver Anniversary Series with patron
favorite Misty River Band making its third appearance in the last four
years. Misty River Band will be coming off a one-year performing hiatus
to once again grace the CPAS concert stage with their beautiful blend
of harmonic voices and unique combinations of stringed instruments.
The four-woman band blends folk, bluegrass, country, Celtic and original
music into a seamless and highly distinctive Americana sound that has
captivated audiences worldwide. Misty River Band consists of Chris Kokesh
on vocals, fiddle and guitar; Carol Harley on vocals, guitar, banjo,
mandolin and ukulele; her daughter Laura Quigley on vocals and upright
acoustic bass and Dana Abel on vocals, accordion and guitar. While strong
original material written by all members of the band is at the heart
of Misty River’s signature sound, they augment their music with
fresh arrangements of traditional materials by contemporary artists.
