Bluegrass evoking the high lonesome sounds of Bill Monroe

In 2001 they won the Telluride Band Competition, joining such other notable winners as The Dixie Chicks (1991) and Nickel Creek, (1995) the latter of whom they have been compared to for their fresh new sound.

A Celtic Christmas
Bearfoot features three part harmony, solid rhythm and soloing on mandolin and guitar, twin fiddles and acoustic base. Each of the band members sings lead on a variety of songs, creating a blend of female and male voices and a diverse listening experience. Their repertoire ranges from original contemporary songs written by lead singer Annalisa, to fast paced instrumentals and arrangements of traditional tunes. Bearfoot has a lively and engaging stage presence with an appeal that crosses generations – from younger audiences to older and traditional music fans.
